At what age did you begin singing or playing an instrument?
I can remember from an early age loving to perform. I began dance when I was 2 years old, and loved being on stage performing. When I was 6 years old I wrote my first song, and three years later started taking voice lessons. During that time, I started taking piano lessons, and currently I am taking guitar lessons and am crazy exciting to be learning a new instrument.
What inspired you to become a singer/songwriter?
In 2005, Katrina devastated my hometown, New Orleans, and it was a really hard time for my family. I was 6 years old then, and even though I was young I wanted to do something to encourage people. One night during Katrina, I woke up and wrote a song and I knew that was God’s way of letting me know I could encourage people through my music.
What genre would you call your music?
I would call my genre of music pop and dance, although presently I am loving EDM.
