At what age did you begin singing or playing an instrument?
10 years old
What inspired you to become a singer/songwriter?
For a majority of my life I have been known as half-girl, half-guitar. The obsession began when I was ten years old. I found my Dad’s dusty guitar hidden away in the garage. I taught myself four simple chords and began writing my own songs.
What genre would you call your music?
Previously Country/Pop now transitioning to Singer/Songwriter/Indie
Is there anything you have learned from being a singer/songwriter?
Is there anything I haven’t learned is the real question… Although I have learned a lot about music I have learned even more about myself.
What does it mean to you to be a singer/songwriter?
It means I have the privilege to take everyday emotion and capture it in a few verses and a chorus.
What part about being a singer/songwriter do you enjoy most?
I enjoy the real authentic human connection through music. And when it is MY music, that takes it to a whole new level.
Have you made any friends because of being a singer/songwriter?
SO many. I’ve found that the people who understand me deeply are the people who know what it’s like to take their trials and turn them into soundtracks
Have you traveled because of being a singer/songwriter?
I have been so blessed to be able to play my music all over the country.
Have you done something exciting because of being a singer/songwriter?
I have gotten to meet so many amazing people and share my music with people who really listen. and that is a truly amazing thing!
