At what age did you begin singing or playing an instrument?
I began singing as a toddler around the house and then began doing musicals. At the age of 16, I decided to learn guitar and started writing music.
What inspired you to become a singer/songwriter?
After attending a couple of concerts, I learned that music had the ability to convey powerful messages and connect with people on a deeper level. I was inspired to become a singer/songwriter because of the hope music established in my life, and I wanted to bring that hope to others.
What genre would you call your music?
What have you learned from being a singer/songwriter?
I have learned that I love to write, sing, and perform. Growing up as a shy child, I would have never expected this to be my career. I’ve really learned to step out of my comfort zone.
Can you say a little about what being a singer/songwriter means to you?
That is a tough question, because there are so many things I could say. Yes, it means loving music, singing, writing, etc., but I think it goes beyond that. Being a singer/songwriter is not about me – as funny as that sounds. I believe it provides opportunity to love people and invest in their lives.

My favorite part about being a singer/songwriter is connecting with people after a show or concert. I get to hear about their lives and stories, and that is something I cherish.
